Covid-19 Awareness campaign held at Lebowakgomo

“We continue to raise awareness about Covid-19 given the severe impact this pandemic has had on our lives and livelihood. Lepelle-Nkumpi still has many active cases and we should continue to take necessary precautions. In the past month we have seen families loosing more loved ones succumbing to the disease”, said Chief Whip of Capricorn District Municipality Cllr Matome Masoga speaking during a Covid-19 Awareness Campaign held at Lebowakgomo Taxi Rank in Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality.
“We came to the Taxi Rank today because our message will be able to reach many people who commute on daily basis. People must at all times wear their mask and we appeal to Taxi Operators to comply with this regulations and ensure that the commuters do the same”, said Masoga.
The Covid-19 Awareness Campaign follows the District Command Council decision to intensify Covid-19 awareness messages as the District continues to be the Hotspot in the Limpopo Province.
The district was handing over information leaflets, hand sanitizers and hand soups to Taxi commuters and operators.
