CDM appoints Executive Managers

COUNCIL of Capricorn District Municipality has approved two appointments of Executive Managers for Community Services and Corporate Services, with effect from 01 November 2021. The two appointments were made during a special council meeting on the 5 October 2021

The two were appointed on five-year contracts and are section 57 positions and therefore report directly to the Municipal Manager. Council was of a single mind that the appointed candidates are suitably qualified and widely experienced to implement the IDP and meet the service delivery targets in their Departments.

Council has also extended the period of Ms Thuso Nemugumoni as the Acting Municipal Manager, which is crucial in preparing the Municipality for a smooth transition between the current Council term and the next. She is also in the best position to lead the Institution during a critical audit period that is currently underway, given the long period of time she has been acting in the same office to seamlessly assist the Office of Auditor General. The extension of the acting period for a further 3 months was therefore necessary in the circumstances.
