CDM and Limpopo Department of Social Development hosted the Capricorn District Golden Games, at Senwabarwana Sports Complex at Senwabarwana, Blouberg Municipality on 05 September 2024.
Elders from all the four municipalities in the district have converged at the venue to take part in different sporting codes. The sporting codes played are athletics, juskei, rugby ball throw, goal shooting, ball pass and kick, etc.
Speaking to the elderly, CDM Acting Executive Mayor, who is the Chairperson for the Portfolio Committee of Sport, Arts and Culture, Cllr. Makgato Machaba, encouraged the elderly to take advantage of such events to improve their health.
