Capricorn District Municipality hosted the International Fire Fighters’ Day Build-Up Activity at Ga-Maraba Traditional Office on 24 April 2025. Member of the Mayoral committee Cllr. Elizabeth Rahlana led the International Fire Fighters Day(IFFD) Build-Up Awareness Campaign which was attended attended by members of the community of Ga-Maraba.The objective of the IFFD campaign was to raise safety awareness among communities, equipping them with vital knowledge on how to survive fire-related emergencies, address municipal health concerns, and engage in sustainable environmental practices.
The event featured presentations from various departments, providing insights and practical guidance to the community members gathered at the Maraba Traditional Council Office.
This initiative forms part of the broader commitment by Capricorn District Municipality to promote community safety, health education, and environmental issues management.
