The Inveraan Community Centre was alive with energy as residents gathered for the Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) Community Safety Forum Engagement Seminar—a collaborative initiative aimed at empowering citizens through knowledge and open dialogue.The seminar addressed a range of social issues impacting the community, including school safety measures, road safety, tourism safety, public health, social crime prevention, disaster management, fire and rescue services, environmental health, as well as the role of sports, arts, and culture in community development. Various stakeholders involved in tackling these societal challenges were in attendance, fostering a space for shared insights and practical solutions.
The forum left attendees inspired and motivated, their notebooks filled with practical tips and their spirits lifted by a strong sense of collective responsibility. The event served as a powerful reminder that safety thrives when communities come together to learn, engage, and act as one. The engagement took place on 25 April 2025.
