Capricorn District Municipality together with Eskom, Department of Education, University of Limpopo and other stakeholders hosted a Youth Expo for Young Scientists from Capricorn District and Sekhukhune District.The two-day expo that began on 15 August 2024 at Ngwako Ramahlodi Sports Complex in Seshego brought together learners competing in 13 scientific categories including Engineering, Agricultural Science, Energy, Biomedical Science and Plant Sciences. Through this event, participants were aiming to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems using scientific approaches and methodologies.
A panel of judges evaluated the learner’s projects and selected the outstanding ones. The top-performing learners received awards and their work will be advanced to the national level to further represent the Region. The region also celebrated 40 years of existence.
