It Is Your Earth ; Protect It ! In a continuation of waste collectors and recycling workshop, Capricorn District Municipality Environmental Management Unit, in collaboration with Molemole Local Municipality, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, PETCO, and POLYCO, were at Dendron Community Hall in Mogwadi to educate, inform and raise awareness.The purpose was to meet with collectors, waste pickers, buy-back centres, cooperatives and waste management companies to give them knowledge about the importance of recycling, what packaging materials are recyclable, and how to separate recyclable packaging from waste to generate sustainable income. Presentations were made by DFFE, POLYCO and PETCO. The workshop took place on 31 October 2024.
