The Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo would like to congratulate the newly elected Council Speaker, Cllr Kholofelo Lehong, and Chief Whip of Council, Cllr Lesiba Matsimela. Their election marks an important moment in our District Municipality, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in these individuals by their fellow council members. We recognise the dedication and hard work required for these positions and believe that the elected Council Speaker and Chief Whip of the Council will serve with integrity and professionalism. The two newly elected Councillors are replacing the former Speaker and Chief Whip who are now members of the Legislature.
