The South African netball president, Ms Ceclia Molokoane, has taken on a crucial initiative to promote and encourage both girl and boy children to participate in sports.She has embarked on a national roadshow in order to spread this message and inspire the young generation to engage in physical activities.
This roadshow holds great significance for Ms Molokoane as she has chosen to start off by visiting a district where she comes from, setting the tone for the rest of her journey.
During her visit, she also made sure to meet with the Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo in order to inform her about the roadshow and its purpose.
This not only helps in building support and collaboration but also shows the commitment and dedication of President Molokoane towards this cause.
Through this roadshow, she aims to empower and uplift the youth, especially girls, by promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through sports.
“Ms Molokoane’s efforts are commendable and have the potential to bring positive change in society by breaking gender stereotypes and promoting inclusivity in sports,” the Executive Mayor said. The visit took place on 10 March 2025 at Landmark Lodge in Polokwane.
