SPORTS ATTIRE FOR DISTRICT OLDER PERSONS TEAM

The donation of the attire was coordinated jointly with the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, Department of Social Department and District Older Persons Forum.

“I would like to thank this team, our district golden boys and girls. You are playing a good role in ensuring that our older persons continues to be active by playing games. I’m also proud that you represented us well at the Provincial games and even national. We are proud of you” Cllr Teffo said.

They participate in games that involve elders over 60 years-old. The games are played annually by senior citizens. The sporting codes are, soccer for men and women, athletics, duck walk, brisk walk, dress-up, ball kick and pass, relay, ring the stick, and others. The participants comes from all four local municipalities (Blouberg, Lepelle-Nkumpi, Molemole and Polokwane) within the CDM.
