RESIDENTS and businesses in Mogwadi and All Days townships will be paying for water in prepaid without hassles, using a system that is credible, effective and convenient for them.This is as the Capricorn District Municipality commenced with the implementation of the smart meter project by handing over installation sites in households and businesses. On 21 and 22 February, the community of Mogwadi and Alldays in Molemole and Blouberg Local Municipality were respectively introduced to Service Providers who will be installing the smart water meters and systems were in place as they started with the installation.
This implementation comes after a successful community consultation drive that took place last year where plans to migrate from post-paid to prepaid smart water meters were shared with communities in Lebowakgomo, Mogwadi, Morebeng, Senwabarwana and All Days townships.
The handover is therefore the second phase of the project.
