School shoes for the needy, Mandela Month

Extending a helping hand and reaching out to the less fortunate should never be seen as a costly exercise but it should be viewed as a warm hearted gesture of appreciation for the good things and a thank you to God for enabling one to provide for his or her family. There are less fortunate people who need our help and sharing is really caring. This were some of the words expressed byΒ Dr Malinga donating the Dr Malinga school shoes to needy learners at Ga-Molepo Mmamatsa during the Capricorn District Mandela day celebration held on 26 July 2017.

Dr Malinga, a well known artist and actor, and also a founder of the Dr Malinga Foundation wasΒ speaking about the work that his foundation does and its contribution to changing children’s lives. β€œThis are not just shoes, they areΒ  Dr Malinga labelled shoes. They should enable these kids to walk about with pride and dignity, moving from one place to another progressing for the better. This children should wear them with pride and be proud”.

The Dr Malinga Foundation donated 60 pairs of school shoes to needy primary school learners from Mmamatsha as part of the District Mandela Day celebration. The Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe thanked the Dr Malinga Foundation for their generous contribution to making a difference in the children’s lives. Nelson Mandela said β€œChildren are our greatest treasure, they are our future”.
