Capricorn District Municipality earmarked to spend R90.2 million on projects in Molemole Municipality. This was a commitment made by the Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe as he was delivering the State of the District Address held at Ditlou Sports Ground in Blouberg Municipality on 09 April 2019.
The R90.2million will be invested in the Sephala, Mokopu, Thoka, Makwetja Regional Water Supply project. “We should be the first to acknowledge the water supply challenges we have in our district, however there has been progress realised in the delivery of potable water, having improved from 76% in 2014 to 89% in 2019”, said the Executive Mayor .
The Mayor of Molemole Municipal Cllr M Paya welcomed the State of the District Address further noting that commitments made were as per engagements between the district and its local municipalities.
