Capricorn District Municipality has officially welcomed its newest Council member, Cllr Mashakeng Modiba, who was sworn in during a brief ceremony at the Polokwane Magistrateβs Court on 14 August 2025 in Polokwane.Taking the affirmation of office before the Speaker of Council, Cllr Kholofelo Lehong, the new member Cllr Modiba pledged to uphold the Constitution, serve the community with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to the districtβs development agenda.
The occasion was attended by fellow councillors, municipal officials, and guests, who applauded the appointment as a positive step towards strengthening the leadership and governance of the Municipality.
