Men speak against violence

Capricorn District Municipality together with the Limpopo Department of Social Development hosted the district men’s dialogue at Polokwane. This is part of a drive that the two institutions have embarked on throughout the district since 06 November until 16 November 2018. CDM together with Social Development will be hosting a district International Men’s Day on 20 November 2018 at Moletji.

The purpose of the events is to get men to engage on social behavioral change as it relates to gender based violence, HIV/Aids, TB and other diseases, marriage types and estates and men’s reproductive health.

Participants are men from the district community. The event was attended by organisations such as Poverty Alleviation and Support for People living with HIV/Aids (PASPWA). PASPWA focused on social behavioral change programs such as, you only live once, men championing change, family matters program, ke moja, community capacity enhancement and others.
