IFFD BUILD-UP ACTIVITY RAISE AWARENESS

“As we enter fire season, it’s crucial to highlight that fire safety is everyone’s responsibility,” said Senior Fire Fighter Natalia Mogoboya. “As fire fighters, our mission is to educate the public about fire prevention, because the damage caused by fires brings immense pain to many families.”
Mogoboya’s presentation focused on domestic fires, which are often the result of negligence and a lack of awareness. These fires can lead to the tragic loss of lives and property. The campaign, themed “Learn to Be Safe,” aims to raise awareness in households and encourage safer practices. Several departments, including the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and the Environment, the Disaster Management Department, SAPS, and Municipal Health, also participated.
They provided important information about fire incidents and other disasters affecting communities in Molemole. The speakers emphasized that many of these incidents are man-made and entirely preventable.
