On 19 September 2023, Capricorn District Municipality handed over and introduced a service provider on site for the implementation of Mogwadi Water Supply and Ponds (WSIG) project at Mogwadi Community Hall in Mogwadi Township under Molemole Local Municipality. The handover session was led, on behalf of the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, by Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Infrastructure Cllr Maite Mohale.The R12, 57 million projectβs scope of work includes the installation of the by-pass line from the post-filtered water to the reservoir to increase the yield of the product water, prefiltration vessels to treat the brine for recirculate before discharge and pumps for the treatment of brine.
The construction of two brine water ponds, effluent pump station at Mogwadi Wastewater ponds, concrete channel to the new pump station, 200 m of uPVC pumping main, electrification of pump station, embarkment on the one side of the retaining wall and installation of the meter for Brine. The service providers are consultant, Zakumi Consulting Engineers and contractor Kalekale Construction.
