Farmers information session held at Lepelle-Nkumpi

CDM, Department of Agriculture and Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality hosted a farmers information session on market access for fresh produce at Lebowakgomo on 13 September 2017.

The purpose of the session was to share information on how can farmers access the market, where they can sell their produce and good agricultural practice. Farmers were also told about the requirements when they have to sell their crop and the quality thereof.

“This is a right step in the right direction, I acknowledge the local farmers who are contributing meaningfully to the agricultural sector, said Acting Mayor for Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality, Cllr Lina Mphahlele. Cllr Mphahlele also urged the farmers to work together and support one another.
