“I’m now officially handing-over my former SEMS Executive Manager and former CFO to Polokwane Municipality. Executive Mayor Mpe, these were my two senior managers who also worked with you in achieving clean audit. Let them ensure the our City Polokwane grows to a greater heights” Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo said.She said this during the farewell function of the former Executive Manager: SEMS, Ms Thuso Nemugumoni and Mr Thabo Nonyane who was the CFO. The event took place at Saskia Fusion Hotel. It was attended by political leadership and administrative component led by the Municipal Manager.
“I appreciate this handover session. They are already in Polokwane and we have already seen their work. We need to appreciate this working relationship. I always say local municipalities within a district are shareholders in the district. So we need to share skills that are within. I welcome them” Executive Mayor of Polokwane, Cllr Mpe said.
In their responses, Ms Nemugumoni emphasized that we need to begin to share systems so that we begin to be seen as implementing the District Develop Model that can move us to be a metro. While Mr Nonyane reiterated that in accounting, books should balance and systems should also be shared. Through this, the Intergovernmental Relations will be strengthened.
