The Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, was among the athletes who participated in the Polokwane City Marathon that was held at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 02 May 2026.The marathon also attracted the participation of Dr Phophi Ramathuba, alongside Khoshigadi Mothapo and Kgoshigadi Matlala, as well as many other runners and fitness enthusiasts from across the province and beyond.
The event promoted healthy living, unity, and community wellness while showcasing the spirit of sport and active lifestyles in Polokwane. The marathon attracted over 3900 professional athletes and social runners.
