The Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo and Municipal Manager, Mr Ramakuntwane Selepe took some time out of their busy schedule to congratulate Team Capricorn for their sterling performance at the 2022 Inter-departmental games held on Wednesday at South African National Defense Force in Polokwane Gateway International Airport.
“Congratulations to all the winning teams under CDM, we are very proud of your performance. We take Employee Wellness program very serious as the leadership. It is an important program to us and we will continue to support you,” said Executive Mayor.
The Inter-departmental games are held annually as part of employees wellness program. These games were organized by South African National Defense Force (SANDF). This program brings together employees from various government departments and municipalities within the city of Polokwane .
CDM participated in the following sporting codes that were able to be in top 3: Volleyball that took position 3, Netball, Darts and Pool all took position 2 and received medals.
The Chairperson of Employees Sport Committee, Ms Phuti Mothapo , the Coordinator, Ms Sylvia Phala and EAP Coordinator, Ms Madimetja Phaka presented the medals to the Executive Mayor and Municipal Manager who congratulated the winning teams and also encouraged teams that did not make it to practice hard.
