CDMβs Fire and Disaster Unit is visited creches around the district to hand over first aid kits. They visited creches around Lepelle Nkumpi Local Municipality, at Ga-Mphahlele, Hweleshaneng, Mamaholo, Seleteng, Mashite,Tswelopele day and after care centre, Lesedi community crΓ¨che, Maledu CrΓ¨che, Good hope educare centre, and Veritas academy so far.
This is part of a programe that started in July this year, where the municipality was visiting community radio stations educating the community about disaster management issues, fire since its a fire season and safety tips at home.
The program was made possible by our partner SANTAM, the financial sponsorship both. They assisted with the procurement of Radio slots for Fire Awareness campaigns and the First Aid Kits.
