Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality Cllr John Mpe visited Dendron Secondary School on the first day of learning at Mogwadi in Molemole Municipality on 11 January 2017. This was part of the βBack to school campaignβ, an annualΒ programme for the Executive Mayor aimed atΒ motivatingΒ and encouraging learners especially those inΒ Grade 12 to work hardΒ at school andΒ make education a priority in their lives. This is done in partnership with the local municipalities and department of education. The Mayor of Molemole Cllr Edward Paya was leading his team and Mr Director Mothemane led the department of education Capricorn district team.
The EMΒ congratulatedΒ learners and Educators at Dendron Secondary School for producing the top learner in Limpopo namely Karabo Moremi,Β receiving trophies for Club 100 in MathematicsΒ and Science,Β the Club 100 School andΒ for taking position four in the most bachelors. βThis school has set a high standard andΒ the 2016 class has made us proud. with 97,4 pass rate.Β We expect class of 2017 to do even better and be ratedΒ with the top school in the country with 100%β said EM. βWe are here to support you as leaders, and there are platforms created by government to assist learners and this opportunities must be utilised. No child who has passed and admitted at a universityΒ cannot go to school when we are here. We wantΒ the best for youβ said Executive Mayor.
