During its sitting on the 25 June 2025, Council noted the Draft 2025/26 IDP/Budget Review Framework and Process Plan and recommended it for public consultation. Section 27 (1) & (2) of the Municipal Systems Act (MSA), No.32 of 2000 mandates each District Municipality to adopt a framework for integrated development planning that binds both the District and the local municipalities in the area of the district municipality as a whole to ensure alignment and integrated planning.
