
The Mafefe Disability Centre thanked the district for the campaign and continued support. Speaking on behalf of the centre, Ms Mangwale said, “this year the center is celebrating ten years. It has been challenging but we are still standing strong. We request to be assisted with a bigger building.”
“Disability is not an obstacle, we need to be included when there are opportunities within our communities like any other person,” said Maponya from Lepelle-Nkumpi Disability Forum. Mr Chidi from the district forum, appealed especially to young parents, to work with the Councillor and Social Development department to ensure that their children with disability attend school.
The stakeholders that presented at the campaign included South African Police Service (SAPS) Malipsdrift, Department of Health Mafefe Clinic and other Civil Organisations in the area.
