Capricorn District Municipality has embarked on a process to review the District Disaster Management Framework and Plan which has to be adopted by Council by end of the financial year 2017/18.
On 13 March 2018, the municipality, as part of the consultation process held a workshop for the District Disaster Management Advisory Forum on the Draft Disaster Management Plan and Framework.
The forum is part of the structures that had to be consulted before consolidation of final document. The structure was taken through the draft with emphasis given on the legislative requirements and the key performance areas on the framework and plan.
The forum gave inputs and comments on the presentation and was also given an opportunity to forward written inputs on both documents.
