The Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, has officially welcomed the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer, Mr Tebogo Malaka, who joined the institution as of 1 August 2025, a month that celebrates Women’s Month and coincides with the Executive Mayor’s own birthday.In her welcome remarks, the Executive Mayor emphasised her administration’s key priorities, including ensuring communities have consistent access to water and sustaining the municipality’s clean audit status. She urged Mr Malaka to focus on mobilising the budget required for service delivery and to strengthen partnerships through public-private collaboration. She further highlighted the ongoing project to install water smart meters and drive revenue enhancement.
“Welcome to Capricorn District, the home of excellence and opportunities for a better life” she concluded.
Also welcomed was Ms Nompumelelo Khumalo, who officially assumed her role as Executive Manager for Strategic Executive Management Services (SEMS). Having been with CDM for a month already, she has hit the ground running. Both executives expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome extended to them by the Executive Mayor.
