IN a move set to bring together women from various sectors and structures for debate and solutions to their challenges, CDM will host the 6th Women’s Parliament on 29 August 2015. The Parliament will take place against the backdrop of Women’s month.
The aim of the Parliament is to cajole women drawn from within the Capricorn District to participate, take decisions and influence economic transformation agenda; assess progress on women empowerment programmes and strategize on how CDM can take women’s concerns forward.
Over 250 participants are anticipated to attend this special sitting – including those in civil society, representatives from government, political parties, Women in Business, women traditional leaders, members of the Progressive Women’s Movement and others.
The parliament has been scheduled to take place as follows:
