CDM kickstart Cleanest School Competition

Capricorn District Municipality kickstarted the Cleanest School Competition on a high note with Tsoeg Primary and Frans Mohlala Secondary School taking first positions receiving R10 000 cash price. The competition that started on 26 March 2021 was looking at schools within Polokwane Municipality.
The following schools emerged as winners in this year’s school competition at CDM. Under the primary school category Mantheding primary school (3rd), Mampa primary school (2nd), Tsoge primary school (1st). Under the secondary category, Frans Mohlala secondary school was the only secondary school that participated and got number one, all schools are from around Polokwane Municipality.
The competition was focusing on Covid 19 protocol, sanitation, waste management, personal hygiene, and water supply and water conservation. Speaking during the ceremony Cllr. Betty Kgare said that this is a good learning programme that encourages learners to take care of their schools and the environment.
The winners went away with prizes such as money, trophies, certificates and sanitisers. The competition will also take place at other local municipalities namely Blouberg, Lepelle-Nkumpi and Molemole.
