CDM JOINS THE CRIME EMERGENCY APP LAUNCH

01 December 2025, Capricorn District Municipality joined key community safety stakeholders at the official launch of the Crime Emergency App, hosted at the Atrium Boutique Hotel in Polokwane.
The App invented by Mapula Mailula marked a bold step toward building safer, smarter and more resilient communities across the district.
The launch brought together government partners, law enforcement agencies, innovators and community leaders who share one mission to strengthen the fight against crime through technology, collaboration and rapid response.
The platform is designed to help community members report incidents at the click of a button ensuring that help is faster, coordination is tighter, and information reaches the right hands more efficiently. It represents a shift from traditional methods of reporting crime to a more proactive, data-driven approach that supports early intervention and stronger community policing.
The Crime Emergency App launch stands as a reminder that progress is possible when leadership, innovation and community will come together.
