CDM JOINS SANTACO NATIONAL PRAYER DAY TO COMBAT GBVF, TAXI VIOLENCE AND ROAD CARNAGE.

On 22 November 2025, Capricorn District Municipality has joined the nation in a powerful call for peace and safety, as MMC for Infrastructure, Cllr. Maite Mohale, represents the municipality at the 2025 SANTACO National Prayer Day, underway at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Hundreds of stakeholders gathered under one roof, led by SANTACO President Abner Tsebe, Deputy Minister of Transport Mkhuleko Hlengwa, Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety Violet Mathye, and Polokwane Executive Mayor Cllr. John Mpe, Traditional leaders, Clergy, and community organisations also united in the solemn event.
The prayer day aims to confront the country’s pressing social ills, gender-based violence, taxi violence, drug abuse and the alarming rate of road accidents, calling for healing, unity and safer communities.
CDM’s participation reinforces its commitment to safer roads, stronger communities, and the protection of vulnerable groups throughout the district.
