May this act of generosity inspire everyone to open our hearts and wallets and make a difference,” said MMC for Sport, Arts and Culture Cllr Hilda Makhura during the official opening of the Chepape Family House at Vaalkop Village, Ga-Mashashane under Polokwane Local Municipality that took place on 04 October 2023.“The Capricorn District Municipality takes this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to the Limpopo Chaplaincy and all those who have contributed to making this day possible,” said Cllr Makhura.
Chepape family thanked all those who contributed towards providing a home for them, to them the gesture was a true sense of dignity.
The housing initiative was a results of dedicated community work of Limpopo chaplaincy health and community Care and NGOs. Other stakeholders were Department of Social Development Limpopo – DSD, Moletsi FM Polokwane Municipality Blueribbon, South African Police Service Seshego VEP, etc.
