CDM HOSTS DRM CAPACITY BUILDING & FIRE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AT SEGOPOTJE SECONDARY SCHOOL .

This special initiative was held in recognition of Segopotje Secondary School’s outstanding achievement — winning first place in the CDM Disaster Risk Management Cleanest School Competition 2025.

The training was structured in two parts:

Awareness Presentations: Experts from Disaster Risk Management, Fire Services, Municipal Health, and Environmental Awareness Campaigns engaged learners through informative sessions. They shared crucial insights on fire safety, environmental protection, personal health, and emergency preparedness.

Hands-On Training: Learners received basic firefighting training, including how to operate firefighting equipment and how to respond effectively during a fire emergency.

The campaign not only empowered students with life-saving knowledge but also encouraged teamwork and community responsibility. It was a day of learning, growth, and celebration of the school’s dedication to cleanliness, safety, and sustainability.
