Capricorn District Municipality organized a Youth Dialogue on Thursday, 20th June at the Mohodi Community Hall in Mohodi Ga-Manthata. The event, held under the theme “Actively Advancing Socio-Economic Gains in Our Democracy,” aimed to provide a platform for young individuals to address societal challenges such as unemployment, mental health, and teenage pregnancy.
The participants included youths associated with different political parties, such as ANC, EFF, DA, DoP, DeafSA, COSAS, and the South African Youth Council (SAYC). Presentations were delivered by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Department of Social Development, and IEC.
“We are on a mission as a district to reduce unemployment. As we celebrate 30 years of freedom, government has not forsaken young people or forgotten about the demand for jobs,” stated Acting Executive Mayor Cllr Solly Mahlatsi.
