CDM hold the last leg of the cleanest school competiton

CDM held the last leg of the cleanest school competition on 31 March 2021 at Botlokwa Ga-Machaka. Nine schools participated under the Botlokwa area. Eight being primary schools and one secondary school.
“CDM has explored this initiative with a consideration that schools should be regarded as a focal point  for raising awareness about environmental health . This competition is one of the programmes that the municipality rolls out to fulfill the environmental constitutional mandate and we urge you to continue participating in this and protect the environment, ” said Cllr Betty Kgare. Cllr Kgare was speaking to learners during the award ceremony.
In the primary category, Shapo primary school got position one and went away with R10 000, a trophy and a certificate. Under the secondary category, Tidima secondary school got position one and received R10 000, certificate and a trophy.
All schools that participated were given a certificate, sanitizers and hand washers.
