CDM Council speaks to the people of Matseke

Capricorn District Municipality  spoke to the people during a council outreach meeting held on Tuesday 03 December 2019 at Matseke village, Tidima Sports Ground in Molemole Municipality at 10h00. The purpose of the meeting was to interact with residents about service delivery programmes that CDM is rolling out in Molemole Local Municipality.

The council outreach programme is chaired by the Speaker of Council Cllr Monica Mohale. The imbizo is part of the systems geared at bringing council closer to people and listen to their service delivery and governance concerns. It is also about giving feedback throughout the service delivery cycle.

The imbizo was led by the Acting Executive Mayor Cllr Nomonde Sivhabu afforded community members to raise their concerns and make inputs on issues of service delivery such as water, sanitation, health, economic development, etc.

In response, the acting Executive Mayor, Cllr N Sivhabu made commitments to immediately address issues of service delivery and promise community members that other issues that needs provincial government will be forwarded to them for intervention.

She said service delivery issues such as water and sanitation backlogs can only be addressed through capital projects and will be considered in the next integrated development planning for 2020/21 financial year.
