CDM CELEBRATE MANDELA MONTH AT SIFIHLAMPYANA IN BLOUBERG

The Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, along with the MMCs, commemorated Mandela Month at Mabu Drop-in Centre in Sefihlapyana Village, under Blouberg Local Municipality.

Mabu Drop-in Centre was established in April 2018 by 8 individuals. Initially catering to 50 children, the center now serves 140 children. The mission of the center is to provide a home for orphans and underprivileged children.

The initiative focused on enhancing the drop-in center by offering essential support to the children’s learning materials, establishing a food garden, fixing the fence, and donating 5250L of JoJo tank, food, garden tools, blankets, and paints among other items.

“Let’s embody the spirit of Tata Nelson Mandela,” emphasized Executive Mayor. Belson Mandela month is recognized as a month to honor the accomplishments of the first democratically elected President of the Republic of South Africa.
