he Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) and Molemole Municipality MPAC came together at the Ga-Sako Community Hall to present water and sanitation by-law and township economy by-law to the community members of Ga-Sako on 28 February 2025.CDM presented the by-laws for consultation during the Molemole Local Municipality’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) session of the 2023/24 Draft Annual Report of Molemole Local Municipality. The MPAC session was chaired by Cllr Tshepiso Rathete.
CDM had the opportunity to present By-Laws on Water and Sanitation, and a By-law for Township Economy. The purpose of the presentation was to consult with the community on how the by-laws will address issues such as vandalism, theft, and illegal connections to water infrastructure, as well as regulations for boosting the township economy.
The event was attended by councillors, MPAC Committee Members, officials, and CDM infrastructure services team. The collaboration between CDM and MPAC showed commitment to addressing service delivery issues and improving the lives of the community of Ga-Sako.
