Capricorn District Municipality addressed the University of Limpopo Faculty of Management and Law (FML) 9th Annual Research Day 2024 at The Ranch Resort outside Polokwane. Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) Cllr Matome Masoga represented the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo. He joined the Deputy Minister of Police Polly Boshielo who was presenting in her capacity as a student.
“We commend the University and the Faculty for the continuous effort to empower and motivate students to offer insight into the transformative efforts and solutions towards the attainment of sustainable developmental goals,” said MMC for DPEMS Cllr Matome Masoga.
“For us as the Municipality, universities represent preparatory centres for not only the job market but also as reservoirs of knowledge for civil society that contributes to making the world a better place,” added Cllr Masoga.
“This year we meet and interact here as we stand on the threshold of the University’s momentous milestone of 65 years of “Finding Solutions for Africa” and we take this opportunity to congratulate you,” alluded Cllr Masoga.
The three day event saw various research presentations from graduates in the Faculty of Management and Law at University of Limpopo. The event was held from 11 to 13 September 2024 at The Ranch Hotel outside Polokwane.
