BILLIONS PLEDGED AT THE LIMPOPO INVESTMENT CONFERENCE

Limpopo Investment Conference has raised R120 329 billion for the Limpopo Province’s economic development. This was revealed at the end of the Limpopo Investment Conference held at The Ranch Hotel outside Polokwane. The two-day conference ended on a high note with Premier appreciating the hard work and the commitments pledged.
The Limpopo Investment Conference exist to showcase the province’s dynamic and world-renowned investments such as Anglo-American group, Bokone, Ivanhoe, Exxaro, Glencore, MC Mining, Fetakgomo Tubatse SEZ, and Musina Makhado SEZ. The Conference aims to attract new investments and activate sustainable and inclusive growth in various sectors.
Targeted areas for trade and investment include mining, energy, agriculture and industrial development. The two-day conference featured panel discussions and engagements which explored economic potentials of the Limpopo province. “Investors, businesses and communities can collaborate to drive economic growth and create a prosperous future for the Limpopo province,” said Premier of Limpopo Dr Phophi Ramathuba.
The investment pledges led by Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) MEC, Mr. Tshitereke Matibe. The investment pledges committed were as follows:
  1. Aganang Shopping Mall – R200 million
  2. Abok Pharmaceutical – R264 million
  3. Thavani Mall – R300 million
  4. Limpopo Theatre – R315 million
  5. Lebowakgomo Bulk Water (project 1) – R393 million
  6. Limpopo Consolidation Centre – R500 million
  7. Lebowakgomo Bulk Water (project 2) – R607 million
  8. Kinetic (phase 1) – R850 million
  9. MP3 Mining & Engineering – R1 billion
  10. Doug Capital – R1.5 billion
  11. Synergy Fuel Terminal – R2.4 billion
  12. Ivan Plats – R2.5 billion
  13. JBK Engineering – R2.5 billion
  14. Mopani Mkhufi – R2.8 billion
  15. Zebediela Nickel – R3 billion
  16. Mantengu Mining – R3.3 billion
  17. Networth – R4 billion
  18. Skyworth Green Energy – R4 billion
  19. Sanral – R4.1 billion
  20. Masingita Projects – R4.5 billion
  21. Giyani Solar – R7 billion
  22. Zero Carbon Charge – R7.2 billion
  23. Generic Core Sustainable Energies – R8.6 billion
  24. Kulani Energy – R10 billion

The Limpopo Investment Conference took place between 07-08 November 2024 at The Ranch Hotel outside Polokwane.
