Bahananwa ba Malebogo celebrated their origin, during the Malebogo Heritage Celebration that took place at the Old Ben Seraki Sportsground at Malebogo in Blouberg Municipality. The celebration was held on 21 September 2024.Malebogo is a village just outside Senwabarwana town, over 100km outside Polokwane. The Bahananwa community under the Chieftaincy of Kgoshi Ngako Malebogo, originates from Botswana. The language mostly spoken in the area is Sehananwa but written in Sepedi.
Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Sport, Arts and Culture Cllr. Hilda Makhura represented the district municipality. The celebration was graced by the presence of Kgoshi Sello Moroka III, from Botswana.
