Capricorn District Municipality attended the Limpopo Holiday Fair, which took place from 02-04 October 2025 at the Savannah Mall in Polokwane. The 10th Limpopo Holiday Fair was held under the theme, βChange Tourism Narrativeβ.The show was officiated by Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Local Economic Development Cllr Caroline Mamabolo. The annual consumer show has become a marquee event in Limpopoβs tourism calendar, promoting local travel offerings, artisan goods, food & wellness experiences, and culture.
The purpose of the three days exhibition is to elevate the profile of Limpopo as a tourism destination for both locals and visitors, to provide a platform for small, medium, and emerging tourism businesses (SMMEs) to showcase their products and services and to facilitate networking, knowledge-sharing, and partnerships in the tourism sector β especially around marketing, compliance, funding and value chain development. Key partners include the Capricorn District Municipality , Limpopo Provincial Tourism Association, the Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET), and the Limpopo Tourism Agency.
The municipality plays a crucial role in domestic tourism development, economic recovery, and supporting job creation.
Visitors looked forward to a variety of offerings β travel packages, health & wellness stalls, arts & crafts, culinary delights, entertainment and opportunities to discover hidden gems in Limpopo. Exhibitors included local entrepreneurs, tour operators, creative enterprises, and service providers.
