ANNUAL REPORT (2023/2024 FINANCIAL YEAR) ON THE MUNICIPAL WEBSITE
It is herewith confirmed that the Municipality has, in accordance with section 121(1) of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, prepared the Annual Report for 2023/2024 Financial Year.
As required by section 127(2) of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, the Executive Mayor has on 24 January 2025 tabled the Annual Report as afore mentioned to the Municipal Council.
Kindly note that the Municipal Council has referred the Annual Report at issue to the Municipal Public Accounts Committee for scrutiny.
It is further confirmed that the Accounting Officer has, in conformity with section 127(5)(b) the Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, submitted the Annual Report to the Auditor-General, Limpopo Provincial Treasury, and Limpopo Department: Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements & Traditional Affairs.
The Accounting Officer hereby makes public the Annual Report for 2023/2024 Financial Year by placing it on the municipal official website as required by section 127(5)(a)(i) of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003 read with Section 21A(1)(b) of the Municipal Systems Act, No.32 of 2000.
As per the directive of 127(5)(ii) of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, invitation is hereby extended to the local community to make written comments and/or submit written representations in connection with the attached Annual Report for 2023/2024 Financial Year.
The Report is accessible and obtainable on the municipal website (See attachment below) and in office No. 156 (office of Executive Manger: SEMS), at 41 Biccard Street, Polokwane.

All Comments and/or representations must be submitted in writing and packaged in a sealed envelop clearly marked comments and/or representations: Capricorn District 2023/2024 Annual Report and addressed to the Municipal Manager, either through post: PO Box 4100, Polokwane, 0700 or hand delivered to the Municipal Manager’s office at 41 Biccard Street, Polokwane not later than 28 February 2025.
