Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Community Services Cllr. Elizabeth Rahlana led the Disaster Risk Management School Expo and Career Guidance programme for High School learners around Blouberg. The Expo was held at Langlagte Municipal Hall at Ga-Mankgodi Village in Blouberg Local Municipality on 14 March 2025.The purpose of the Career Expo is to expose Learners to Career opportunities in the Disaster Management and other Disaster Management related fields.
βWe bringing together different Institutions of Higher Learning, Public and Private Sector to share opportunities available in the different professions with an emphasis on disaster management. This is because one of our key mandate as a district municipality is disaster management,β said Cllr Rahlana representing the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo.
βWe believe disaster management is indeed everybodyβs business,β added Rahlana.
