VALUABLE INPUTS MADE AT THE MPAC ANNUAL REPORT PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Valuable inputs on operations and maintenance, capacity building and technological facilities were made and identified by communities and Magoshi as areas of interests which the municipality has to pay attention and allocate additional resources on.
This was highlighted during the consultation of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) Public Participation on the 2022/2023 Annual Report held at Landmark Lodge in Polokwane on 01 March 2024.
This followed a notice issued in terms of Section 129 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, which requires the Council to consider the Annual Report by no later than two months from the date on which the Annual Report was tabled in Council in terms of Section 127, adopt an oversight report containing public comments on the Annual Report.
The Acting Executive Mayor Cllr Sammy Selamolela led presentation of the Annual Report made to the attendees. He was joined by members of the mayoral committee and Executive Management. Also various traditional authorities were in attendance and made valuable inputs.
The inputs made will be consolidated into an MPAC Oversight Report that will be tabled at the Ordinary Council meeting to held in late March 2024.
