The Executive Mayor handed over twenty laptops to the 2023 matric top twenty best performers at Nare Secondary School. She also gave the top five achievers an amount of twenty thousand rand, to be shared amongst all of them.The school achieved a 89,9% pass rate in the 2023 matric examination. The 2023 matric best performer at the school is Lebogang Mkhabela who achieved over 90% in his overall percentage.
Addressing the learners the Executive Mayor said, Iβm so proud of you, sometimes the conditions were tough, but you persevered and you performed well.β βWhere you are going, raise the Nare Secondary School and CDM flags high, but remember tertiary level can be overwhelming, when you feel overwhelmed seek help from the schoolβs mental health services.β
Lucia Magaikana, the schoolβs 3rd best performer, said that she is grateful to the educators and her Grandmother because without them she wouldnβt have achieved this. She advised the class of 2024 to stay focused, be obedient and work hard
