Capricorn District Municipality shined at the Inter-Municipal Sport of South Africa (IMSSA) Games 2017 that were held at Phalaborwa in Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality on 03 to 04 June 2017. The first ever two day games were filled with passion, commitment and dedication. The games were part of the employee wellness programme for municipal employees within the Limpopo Province.
The flamboyant team Capricorn scooped 1st positon in golf, 2nd in table tennis, 3rd in pool. Although volleyball, netball, soccer and darts gave a sterling performance it was not good enough to secure them a spot in the finals.
The games were part of preparations for the coming Southern African Inter-Municipal Sport Association (SAIMSA) Games that will be held at Steve Tshwete Local Municipality in Middleburg, Mpumalanga Province from 23 – 29 September 2017.
