Road safety awareness held in Mankweng

“We are here as CDM and the Department of Roads and Transport in Limpopo to create a road safety awareness and an awareness about the Covid-19 pandemic. We want you to know that the pandemic is still there also”, this was Cllr. Mabotse Mothiba.

Cllr. Mothiba was speaking during a road safety awareness and covid-19 awareness held at Mankweng on 07 April 2021.

The officials and councillors were distributing hand sanitisers and hand washers to taxi people, commutors, SMMEs, and people around Paledi mall.

The aim of the campaign was to teach people (pedestrians) around the area especially at Mankweng about the importance of using robots and pedestrian crossing correctly to avoid the high number of pedestrians who are knocked down by cars while crossing the road in the area. The campaign will still be conducted in other places around the district.
