Capricorn District Municipality continues with its projects visit programme that saw the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) visiting Mothapo Sports Academy (gymnasium) to assess its state of readiness of the facility is expected to be re-opened soon. The visit took place today, 08 June 2017 at Ga-Mothapo in Polokwane Municipality. The MPAC projects visit programme is spearheaded by its Chairperson Cllr Pauline Makgato.
MPAC has a mandate to strengthen the oversight arrangements in the municipality and to ensure the efficient and effective use of municipal resources. The committee is aimed at promoting a culture of transparent and accountable local governance and the aspiration of a sound financial management practice. This will result in accelerated quality service delivery to communities in the District.
