“Communicators have a critical responsibility to communicate government policies. This forum is not merely an assembly, it’s a vital exchange of entry at Enhancing communications capabilities,” said Makamu emphasizing the importance of the forum.
The Forum was held under the theme “Empowering municipal voices: Collaborating for Stronger, Smarter Communications.”
The programme included presentations from the Limpopo Provincial Government Spokesperson Ndavhe Ramakuela on Provincial Communications protocol, standards, Government Communication and Information Services (GCIS) on Enhancing communication through digital technology (Artificial Intelligence).
The Department of Sports, Arts and Culture Language Services presented on Bridging the Language Gap: Inclusive and Accessible communications, and Department of International Relations and Cooperation on South Africa’s G20 presidency- Communications challenges and opportunities for all provinces.
The forum was attended by the Head of Communications from different municipalities in the province who also presented, namely Capricorn District Municipality, Sekhukhune District Municipality, Mopani District Municipality, Vhembe District Municipality, and COGHSTA and DIRCO, and other important organizations. The forum was held on 17 October 2024.
